Gregg Braden on How to Thrive Now
Meet Gregg Braden
From 1979 to 1991, Gregg Braden worked as a problem solver during times of crisis for Fortune 500 companies, including Cisco Systems, where he became the first Technical Operations Manager in 1991. He continues problem-solving today as he merges modern science and the wisdom of our past to reveal real-world solutions to the issues that challenge our lives. His research has led to 15 film credits and 12 award-winning books now published in over 40 languages. Gregg can also be seen on Gaia TV’s Missing Links.
Gregg is a member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and is active with visionary organizations, including the HeartMath Global Coherence Initiative and The Arlington Institute. He has presented his discoveries in over 30 countries on six continents and has been invited to speak to The United Nations, Fortune 500 companies, and the U. S. military.
The United Kingdom’s Watkins Journal lists Gregg among the top 100 of “the world’s most spiritually influential living people” for the 6th consecutive year, and he is a 2020 nominee for the prestigious Templeton Award, established to honor “outstanding individuals who have devoted their talents to expanding our vision of human purpose and ultimate reality.”
Wired to Thrive
This is one of the most powerful conversations I’ve been a part of yet. Gregg Braden is not only brilliant and well versed in so many subjects, including geology, quantum physics, spirituality, human potential, and ancient wisdom traditions, but he has a way of simply explaining the possible positive outcome of today’s world, a shift in consciousness for humanity if we choose to be masters of our lives. He explains so eloquently that we are made for times like this. Our bodies are wired to thrive, not just survive.
Gregg shares in this episode (and more explicitly in Missing Links on Gaia TV) that human beings go back 200,000 years and contrary to beliefs about evolution, we have had the same physiological makeup over these 200,000 years. We’re wired to thrive. This pandemic has forced us to sever ties with distractions and come to terms with ourselves. He explains that if our bodies are given what they need to be their best, we will move through the COVID virus with our sense of wellbeing. He sees it as our having two choices: 1) To succumb to the fear and emerge more powerless and as a victim or 2) To take this as an opportunity to take time to honor the human body and master self-care and self-love.
Self-Care Equals Self-Preservation
The real question is, do we love ourselves enough to find the time and take pristine care of ourselves? Self-care is, in fact, a way to practice self-preservation in today’s world. Gregg Braden shares some of the ways to honor your body and to thrive in times like this:
- Nutrition: eat the highest forms of food; high vibrational foods are good for you. Try live earth foods (plants, vegetables, fruit) at every meal.
- Movement: movement is medicine. If you can get in nature, that is ideal; if not, find ways to stretch, practice yoga, and move in your surroundings.
- Take supplements: taking supplements like Vitamin C (the best kind is ascorbate, such as Emergen-c or trace minerals vs. rose hips or ascorbic acid, which is not absorbed well), mushroom supplements (reishi, turkey tail) helps to stop the virus to inject the RNA protrusions in the healthy cell and TCM.
Through movement and ingesting high vibrational foods and supplements, we are allowing ourselves to thrive. We are promoting self-preservation through self-care, so we have the opportunity to concentrate our focus on other things while allowing our bodies and minds to operate at their highest level.
One of the gifts of this crisis is that the Covid virus doesn’t know borders; leaders worldwide are being forced to see one another as humans and families versus opponents. This is in effect forcing a new level of cooperation among our countries and leaders.
Final Thoughts
We also discussed his new book, Wisdom Codes (which I’ll be reading ASAP) that took him 40 years of study and research to write. He shares the words and word patterns used by our indigenous healers and traditions, such as the Hopi, Vedas, Egyptian prayers, Christianity, Gnostic, and other traditions that help with healing. The words we choose shape our reality and directly affect what we’re capable of doing. Science shows that the words we use are connected to our neurons in the brain and heart. I asked what words of wisdom could help right now with our healing and wellbeing. Gregg shared the Navajo Beauty Prayer as one of the most powerful patterns of words you can say for healing. He describes beauty here as a force of nature to appreciate and be inspired by. We are changed by the presence of this kind of beauty.
The Beauty Prayer is as follows:
The beauty I live with. (meaning, seeking the force that exists to guide us in all we are)
The beauty I live by. (meaning opportunities to use beauty as a guide to share our light)
The beauty upon which I base my life. (meaning our state of consciousness matters, finding heart and brain coherence matters)
