George Peterson on Overcoming Stress, Overwhelm and Addiction with Meditation

George Peterson is a certified Vedic Educator through Deepak Chopra’s Center for Wellbeing. George teaches an ancient Vedic meditation technique know as Primordial Sound Meditation, as well as Hatha Yoga and Ayurveda. George is also popular for his work in the addiction recovery realm and he is the creator of the unique 22-Day Guided Meditation Series “Navigating Recovery and Overcoming Adversity”.

Before George began meditating, he was regularly making unhealthy decisions for his mind, body and spirit. However, after educating himself on Deepak Chopra’s practices for well-being, he began incorporating more meditation and yoga into his life. By March of 2012 this spiritual toolkit made such a drastic impact on him that he decided to go to The Chopra Center’s signature meditation and yoga retreat. Here he learned this effortless approach to meditation and made the decision to make this practice a substantial part of his daily routine.

Today George currently teaches Meditation, Ayurveda and Hatha Yoga to students who are interested in complete physical, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing. Currently, George has taught hundreds of people how to meditate including many individuals seeking freedom addiction.

George’s new adventure is co- creating Nourish: a pop-up event company who hosts 3-hour mindful experiences that include yoga, meditation and a plant-based 3-course meal! Through his deep dedication to recovery and wellbeing, George aims to touch the lives of many by providing them with a simple road map to help awaken, heal, and transform their lives.
