This Is How You Find Your Joy with Adair Cates
Adair Cates is a highly sought-after Self-Mastery Coach & Leadership Facilitator. She helps busy achievers become their absolute best selves, so they can do what they love while being in greater alignment with their true purpose. Adair has been speaking to audiences since the third grade, and for more than nine years she’s coached and trained leading executives in the software, healthcare, baby products, and real estate industries. Adair is the author of two self-improvement books, Live with Intention and Fully Engaged. She is also host of The Morning Light Show podcast, which is driven by her obsession to convert everyone into early risers and morning conquerors. In addition, Adair earned a Master of Science in Training and Performance Improvement at Capella University, and she holds a BA in Journalism from the University of North Carolina. She lives in Atlanta with her husband Chris, and their twin daughters, Coral and Joy.
This was such a juicy and intimate conversation…hoping you enjoy! We talked a lot about stepping into your full self, even when others are not able to receive it. One of my favorite take-aways was learning to hold space for yourself when you’re going through a tough emotional time. You can do things like comfort yourself as you would a child and say, ‘sweetheart, I hear you and it’s ok to feel that’ vs telling yourself crappy things. I’ll certainly be incorporating this in my life. One of the best ways to cultivate more appreciation and joy is to appreciate what you, what has been and dream about what you desire. Find a friend and make this a daily practice. Our daily journaling practice is to write down 3 braggs (things we’re proud of), 3 gratitudes and 3 desires.
